So an overnight charge on a private driveway is always going to be the first and most convenient choice for any plug-in car driver.
EV drivers are ‘connected’ to numerous resources and apps that indicate exactly where available charge points are located.
Using a 13A domestic socket is dangerous
EVs are all full battery-powered cars with ranges from around 100 to 300 miles.
To charge any of these cars from a 13A domestic socket would take from 8 hours to over 24 hours.
By which time the plug and socket invariably become more than a little ‘warm’.
Merely trailing an extension out of a kitchen window should not even be considered!
